		<description>You are right. I don&#039;t think that Amway et al get the concept of public opinion. I don&#039;t think they understand Web 2.0 principles. If they had taken the high road in this, they would have downplayed it instead of posturing  and trumpeting that the long arm of the law was on their side.

Everything they do is under the spotlight of the web. Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady complete their non-competes in a few days. Thousands of others within the 30-60 days after that. Most of the major players are going to be careful until the end. There will undoubtedly be hundreds of newbies who get anxious and don&#039;t wait, or didn&#039;t resign, or resigned the wrong way and Amway didn&#039;t accept it.

If Amway is foolish enough to start suing the little guys, Amway will be the pariah of the web community. Negative reports about them will multiply like rabbits. Any bets on whether or not they will be smart enough to see that ahead of time? I know that Amway has deep pockets - that just means it takes a longer to empty them.</description>
