TEAM Loses California Court Battle
TEAM has been dealt a deadly blow today by a California court. Their lawsuit was dismissed and Quixtar has quickly claimed a huge win in a case that has brought nationwide attention. However, after reading the court’s decision it is quite apparent that their decision to dismiss was based almost entirely on the fact that a Michigan court had already ruled in Quixtar’s favor and moved the case to private arbitration.
Quixtar has posted their release and as of yet I have not been able to locate a statement put out by TEAM.
The irony here is that the California case was filed first, by TEAM, and the decision that ultimately sticks is a judgement from a Michigan court filed later and by the California defendent, Quixtar. It’s unclear whether the decision of the arbitrators will be made public or not, or even when that decision will be made. But it looks like this case is closed unless Woodward and TEAM can come up with one hell of a surprise.
